During helium leakage tests the DeltaV-Seal has been exposed to damaged flanges. Test conditions were set around a flange face which had been damaged with scribes/damage ranging from 0.1 mm up to 0.3 mm in depth.

The defects were machined in the flange in the most challenging way, crossing the flange from pressurised inside to the outside of the flange. Simulating a serious scratch in the fange.

The DeltaV-Seal effectively sealed the damaged flange and exceeded the requirements for the ASME PCC-1 Helium test.
